Is Peta Sending a Contradictory
Message? Exploit a woman, save a rabbit! |
Lisa Franzetta of the organization People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA),
wearing only underwear and bunny ears, protests against fur in
Moscow on Nov. 24, 2008. The activist stood topless in cool Russian
weather to protest for animal rights.
Partially naked PETA protesters stand behind a banner that reads, "Clean Your Conscience: Go Vegetarian!
1 lb. of Meat = 6 Months of Showers." The PETA beauties showered together May 27, 2009 at Church Street and Orange Ave. in
Orlando to let consumers know that the best thing that they can do for the environment is to go vegetarian.

A typical Peta message? Animal rights superscede human rights [and dignity]?

The Normandy Landings were the first operations of the Allied invasion of Normandy, also known as Operation Neptune and Operation Overlord,
during World War II. The landings commenced on June 6, 1944 (D-Day), beginning at 6:30 British Double Summer Time (H-Hour). In planning, D-Day was the term used for the day of actual
landing.Source: Wikipedia More than 209,000 Allied troops lost their lives in the battle of Normandy to stop Hitler's scourge.Source: D-Day Museum Today, remember and reflect on our fallen warriors who made the ultimate sacrifice to secure American ideals.

The New Face of
Government Motors
(GM)? |
|
On my daily trip to FedEx
yesterday, while approaching the stoplight at a main intersection, I noticed a
long line of traffic in the left lane waiting for the light. So
I stayed in the right lane where there appeared to be just a
couple vehicles. I realized that one of them was a city bus, so I
figured that must have been the reason everyone was in the left
lane. The light turned, the left lane traffic zoomed past
while my right lane traffic crept through the
intersection. Surprising! Usually city busses are in a big hurry. We were approaching
a bus stop, so I prepared to be stuck behind the bus
while it took on passengers. But the bus didn't stop. Rounding a curve
in the road revealed another vehicle in front of the bus. What in the
world is that? The front of the car hung in the air
as if by levitation. |
|
|
When a hole
in the left lane traffic finally appeared, I swung over to get
around the car in front of me and the bus which by this time had it's left signal
light blinking. So there it was, rolling along at barely
25 MPH, a full 10 MPH under the speed limit. On the back
of this unsightly little yellow three wheeled vehicle, in shiny
chrome letters was the word ELECTRIC. As I passed, a glance through
the driver's side window (Is there a drivers side in such a car?)
revealed a hunched over man with the steering wheel up against his
chest. Ah, I thought. A vision of the Obamanation, and
the new face of Government Motors.
